Mumbai Local,

Waits for no man, even if he is half boarded.

Forces you to alight before or sometimes after your destination.

Even if it is time, it often says 12 more minutes, please.

People sleep in the train, only to find that they went pass their station.

Boarding a running train, does not guarantee you a seat.

Doors are 5 feet wide, but you get narrow 8" passage to get in.

Makes you wait, even if it is running on time.

Mumbai Local,

New Camera ! Sony DSC - RX100

I was without camera for quite some time, since my last camera sank in the Arabian Sea, when my cousin's boat toppled in the sea when they had gone for a boat ride (fortunately no casualties).

I almost stop clicking after that. Then about 8 months ago, I bought Nokia Lumia 800. I am glad I bought it. Very happy with the camera and the phone overall. But I always wanted a good camera. I was considering one of those NEX series from Sony or RX100.

When Hemant (My Brother) came back home, he surprised with this gift. I was so excited, I did not know what to say, then :)

It was good to know that, Time magazine has named Cyber-Shot DSC - RX100 as one of the best Inventions of the Year 2012.

I am surely going to make the most of it now, at least hoping to :)

Ganapati Photo !

This one was long pending. :)

Back in 2008 during Ganesh Festival, I happened to click this photograph of Ganapati at my friend Amey Salvi's place. I shared it of flickr.



Later this year, Amey informed me that the same photo was used by ABP Maza for MPCB Eco Friendly Ganpati Promo. It was good to know, but they did not contact me or Amey for the photo's commercial use. On the flickr photo page coypright notice clearly says " All Rights Reserved". Hence Amey took the pain to contact them. They sent him revised video with his name in the credits ! Good that they did so (though it is not to be seen clearly).
